We seek a Highways Engineer to join our team and contribute to highway and drainage projects ranging from small bespoke designs to significant UK and worldwide infrastructure. Candidates should possess good knowledge of highway design, active travel scheme design, highway drainage design, and apply the latest market technologies. The role involves delivering projects that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.

Requirements
- Degree qualified in civil engineering (BE/B.Tech./ME/M.Tech.)
- Experience and commitment to effective management of Health, Safety, and Welfare, Safety by Design
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in drainage and road design projects
- All-round experience in surface and foul water drainage design
- Relevant experience in car park layout design, private street design, and active travel scheme projects
- Experience in utilities coordination, management of teams, and working with contractors
- Deep understanding of drainage and highway design principles, including Autodesk Civil 3D, Info-Drainage
- Excellent understanding of relevant standards (e.g., DMRB, Local Highway Authority standards)
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned tasks in accordance with quality, timescales, and budgeted hours
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop design solutions meeting client requirements and regulatory standards
- Comply with industry standards and safety regulations
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Mott MacDonald's quality standard procedures
- Foster a culture of right first-time delivery and work with Project Managers/Principals for effective project delivery
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and new technologies
- Proactively seek personal and professional development opportunities
