About this role
The Onsite Project Manager works full-time at customer locations, supervising and coordinating receipt and shipment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials. This role ensures compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, company policies, practices, and procedures. Primary focus includes management, disposal, and environmental compliance support for customer plans, permits, and programs.
Act as daily point of contact with customer and outside entities for environmental compliance activities. Monitor waste accumulation areas, assisting with identification, segregation, profiling, labeling, and staging. Assist with waste characterization of various waste streams and work with on-site teams to maintain swaps and pickups.
Supervise, plan, and schedule all work activities related to waste receipt and shipping to meet internal deadlines. Coordinate incoming waste and outbound loads, including managing paperwork. Conduct safety meetings to ensure compliance with job safe operating procedures and equipment maintenance.
Facilitate compliance inspections at customer locations and implement corrective actions. Provide production reports to management and support customer requirements to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators. Promote safety and security initiatives while making recommendations on salary adjustments, promotions, and dismissals.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations for hazardous waste handling
- Experience in waste profiling, labeling, and characterization
- Supervisory skills for waste receipt, shipping, and processing operations
- Familiarity with environmental compliance inspections and corrective actions
- Ability to manage waste accumulation, segregation, and staging procedures
- Proficiency in safety protocols, PPE usage, and emergency response plans
- Skills in preparing metrics, reports, and production data for management
