The role involves supervising civil engineering design for freeways, intersections, bulk earthworks, roads and rail. Provide management skills to expand the Roads & Highways team capability and support ongoing activities. Lead designs from tender through feasibility to detailed design while managing clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

Solid experience in the road & highways sector with strong technical background working with DTMR
Experience in the coordination, design and delivery of roads projects within multi-disciplinary projects
Degree in civil engineering from a recognised tertiary institution
Safety awareness and good attitude toward safety
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Collaborative and inclusive work style
Demonstrated design experience including bulk earthworks

Responsibilities

Supervise civil engineering design for freeways, intersections, bulk earthworks, roads and rail
Prepare, review and check engineering calculations, technical specifications, data sheets and reports
Review and check engineering drawings
Provide input to engineering, operating and cost estimates
Lead in and contribute to design reviews
Lead designs from tender through feasibility to detailed design
Manage client/stakeholder relationships
Manage commercial aspects of projects and assist with bidding and tenders
