About this role

Seymour Whyte, together with Vinci Grande Projects and Beca, has been chosen by ICON Water to deliver the Design and Construct upgrade of the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre. This four-year project modernises the ACT’s main wastewater treatment facility, the largest inland Australia. It strengthens critical infrastructure near central Canberra for future growth and emission standards.

As a Site Engineer, you’ll support day-to-day delivery of construction works. Help the team plan activities, track progress, and ensure everything is built safely to the right standard. Get your boots dirty and see direct impact on a project vital to the ACT community.

Requirements

  • Civil engineering degree or equivalent experience in a construction environment
  • Ability to prepare and update production programs and bar charts
  • Working knowledge of safety legislation, Australian standards and industry codes
  • Strong understanding of scope, contractual procedures and stakeholder responsibilities
  • Intermediate Microsoft suite skills and the ability to interpret construction documentation
  • Current Driver’s Licence and own transport

Responsibilities

  • Manage on-site engineering tasks including quality, ITPs and daily progress tracking
  • Support planning and programming of work elements with the Project Manager
  • Assist with cost control, estimating and productivity reporting
  • Coordinate with work teams and verify subcontractor claims and variations
  • Undertake procurement and ensure compliance with Seymour Whyte governance processes
