Since 1970, JN has proudly served the construction industry in Australia, evolving from a small family business specialising in structural engineering to a full-service multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. With offices across NSW and Queensland and around 80 employees, expertise spans Building Services to Structural, Civil, Traffic engineering and Remedial Work. Reporting to the Building Services Manager, you will lead detailed Hydraulic & Fire building services design and documentation on diverse projects.

You will attend client and stakeholder design meetings, manage key projects and coordinate Hydraulic and MEP design delivery. Responsibilities include leading tenders and proposals, preparing detailed project plans with budgets, time forecasts and resource planning. Building key client relationships and growing a Hydraulic & Fire design team are central to the role.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification with a Hydraulic Diploma
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience working within the Building Services industry, ideally within a consultancy
  • Experience with hot and cold water, sewer and gas design
  • Solid experience with wet fire systems: hydrants, hose reels and sprinkler system design
  • FPAS Accredited in fire sprinkler systems and fire hydrant and hose reel systems
  • Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Code
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary project teams
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex information verbally and in writing with stakeholders
