About this role

This senior engineering position offers interesting and challenging opportunities in structural engineering for nuclear facilities and upgrades to nuclear power plants. You will collaborate with a team of structural engineers, interface with engineers from other disciplines, and guide less experienced project team members. Advance your career through direct application of materials knowledge, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design.

As a member of an engineering and design team, prepare and review design calculations, develop specifications, and support designers with drawing development. Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations using state-of-the-art computer tools. Guide others in the development of engineering deliverables on a wide range of projects for various clients.

Work within a collaborative environment focused on nuclear projects, with potential travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for construction coordination and field verification. Lead others in using data, automation, and AI tools to improve workflows, reduce rework, and deliver cost-effective designs. Oversee engineers who program or script to automate tasks like calculations and design documentation.

Value additional learning in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields to enable effective oversight of automation and agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows. This role emphasizes leadership in modern tools while ensuring results are checked. Opportunities exist for on-site construction support and advancing structural expertise in power plant structures.
