This $2.87 billion project, the largest in Jacksonville District history, involves a 17.75-mile embankment dam and structures. It supports Everglades restoration by enhancing ecosystem health and water storage.
Assist in planning geotechnical investigations with field exploration, laboratory testing, and analysis for heavy civil projects. Support foundation design, earthwork evaluation, and soil data interpretation for stability analysis. Perform site visits to verify compliance with recommendations during construction.
Coordinate with civil, structural, and environmental engineers on diverse heavy civil infrastructure like dams, reservoirs, and treatment facilities. Thalle, established in 1947, manages projects from New York to Texas as part of The Tully Group. Regional office is in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience, or undergraduate with at least 5 years of geotechnical experience
- Experience in geotechnical investigations including field exploration and laboratory testing
- Knowledge of foundation design and earthwork evaluation for heavy civil projects
- Ability to interpret soil and rock data for stability analysis
- Familiarity with geotechnical software for modeling and analysis
- Proficiency in construction site inspections and compliance verification
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing geotechnical investigations including field exploration, laboratory testing, and analysis
- Support preparation of geotechnical engineering reports, recommendations, and technical documentation
- Assist in foundation design and earthwork evaluation for heavy civil and infrastructure projects
- Interpret soil and rock data for stability analysis and other geotechnical evaluations
- Perform site visits and inspections during construction to ensure compliance with geotechnical recommendations
- Coordinate with project teams including civil, structural, and environmental engineers
- Utilize geotechnical software and tools for analysis and modeling
- Maintain organized records of geotechnical data, reports, and correspondence
