About this role
Clean Earth, part of Enviri Corporation, provides remediation, disposal, recycling, and beneficial reuse solutions for contaminated soil, dredged material, and hazardous waste across energy, infrastructure, and industrial markets. The Onsite Project Manager works full-time at a customer location to supervise receipt and shipment of hazardous waste materials in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations. Salary range is $100,000-$110,000 based on qualifications and experience.
Daily responsibilities include acting as the point of contact for environmental compliance activities with customers and outside entities. Monitor waste accumulation areas, assist with identification, segregation, profiling, labeling, and staging of waste streams. Supervise planning and scheduling of all work activities to meet internal deadlines.
Work closely with on-site teams to monitor waste and recycling programs, maintain swaps and pickups, and ensure Key Performance Indicators are met or exceeded. Coordinate incoming waste and outbound loads, managing all paperwork. Conduct safety meetings and ensure proper chemical storage, labeling, handling, and use of personal protective equipment.
Facilitate compliance inspections at the customer location, implement corrective actions, and respond to plant emergencies per the Contingency Plan. Supervise sampling, segregation, transfer, and compacting of waste streams according to company policies and regulatory requirements. Provide production reports and make recommendations on salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
Requirements
- Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local regulations for hazardous and non-hazardous waste
- Experience supervising receipt, shipment, and disposal of hazardous waste materials
- Ability to perform waste characterization, profiling, and sampling for stream identification
- Familiarity with segregation, transfer, compacting, and consolidation procedures for waste streams
- Skills in monitoring Key Performance Indicators and preparing customer data, metrics, and reports
- Competence in conducting compliance inspections and responding to environmental emergencies
- Supervisory experience including safety training and personnel recommendations
