Perform technical engineering discipline lead for water transmission, distribution, sanitary sewer collection, and wastewater conveyance projects. Provide consultation on sanitary sewer management, watershed planning, and green infrastructure. Lead hydraulic analysis for pressure pipe modeling and gravity sewer systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • 3+ years of experience in utility system analysis, sanitary sewer collection, drinking water systems, and/or wastewater conveyance municipal infrastructure improvements
  • Technical report writing
  • 8+ years of experience in municipal engineering, wastewater, sanitary sewer, and/or municipal projects as a technical producer, project manager, and/or client contact
  • Experience with sanitary and drinking water master planning and modeling software (e.g., SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS, XPSWMM, ArcGIS)
  • Experience with software such as ESRI ArcGIS, Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil3D

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical engineering discipline lead for water transmission, distribution, sanitary sewer collection, wastewater conveyance, and/or water system project designs and system analysis
  • Provide technical consultation to municipal clients on sanitary sewer system management, watershed planning, capital improvement plans, green infrastructure, pumping stations, and best management practices
  • Develop water and wastewater system reports and community-wide master plans
  • Participate in capital improvement plans for growing Midwest communities
  • Lead a hydraulic analysis team for pressure pipe modeling, transient analysis, pump station analysis, and gravity sewer modeling
  • Prepare design plans, specifications, and bid documents for water and wastewater systems
  • Provide construction support services, including shop drawings, pay estimates, progress meetings, and construction services
