About this role

UL Solutions seeks a Senior Project Manager for the Renewables Advisory team in EMEA, with main expertise in Solar PV and BESS, handling multi-technology transactions including onshore wind. You will lead complex due diligence projects and serve as reference Project Manager for the Italian market. Support business development initiatives in Italy and across the region.

Lead and execute technical due diligence for solar PV and BESS projects, covering site assessments, technology reviews, design evaluations, contract analysis, and financial modeling review. Produce comprehensive TDD reports integrating multi-disciplinary inputs while ensuring high-quality standards. Conduct site visits to assess progress against specifications, budgets, and schedules.

Work with internal resources, associate project managers, project managers, and sub-consultants to keep deliverables on time, on target, and on budget. Support development of new procedures and processes in the team. Serve as primary client interface, attending meetings and fostering relationships.

Join the Due Diligence team managing independent engineering and technical advisory for financing, sale, or acquisition of renewable energy technologies. Grow expertise towards transactions including onshore wind. Ensure timely completion of high-quality reports tailored to client needs.

Requirements

At least 6 years of experience working in renewable energies including due diligence, development, construction, operations, and M&A transactions
Expertise in Solar PV and BESS projects
Local expertise on the Italian market and general renewable dynamics
Knowledge on different battery technologies, markets, revenue mechanisms, and use cases
Good understanding of different battery technology with experience in review of main related equipment (PCS, BMS, battery cells, and BOS equipment)
Good understanding of typical KPIs for solar PV and high-level understanding of energy modelling for solar PV projects
Knowledge on Italian regulation such as permitting, grid connection processes, or electricity markets
Proficiency in English and Italian

Responsibilities
